Birmingham Airport Premium-Set Down fees go up again!

As we drive lots of customers from Lichfield to Birmingham Airport, we were slightly puzzled when we got charged £6 for parking in the dropoff zone on Monday, the 5th of November.

Now we know why; BHX has decided to put its rates up again for dropoffs/pickups at the Premium Set-Down car park.

Less than two years ago, this fee was only £3, so that's a 100% increase in less than 24 months. Shocking.

Now, we wouldn't mind the increase if BHX had sorted out the ANPR system to allow online payment and block purchasing. But they haven't, which means the daily glut of vehicles at 0330 in the morning will persist.

As for us, we are debating putting up prices, having absorbed the last few increases.

Oh, and by the way, should you stay for an hour, expect to pay £59 for the barrier to let you out!
