Great news for travelers! As of March 20th, 2025, Birmingham Airport has implemented a barrierless system in both premium and free drop-off zones, eliminating previous congestion issues during peak times. Remember to pay within 24 hours of exit using AutoPay, Post Pay online, or the machines onsite—and note that the free zone still has a 10-minute limit.

As we drive lots of customers from Lichfield to Birmingham Airport, we were slightly puzzled when we got charged £6 for parking in the dropoff zone on Monday, the 5th of November.

The parking facilities at Lichfield Trent Valley railway station, managed by Saba Parking for Network Rail, use ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras to monitor vehicles.
