Has the M6Toll Just Gone up in Price Again?

As we regularly use the M6Toll to take Lichfield customers on airport transfers to Birmingham, Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, we keep a keen eye on the prices.

From the 13th of May 2024, the M6Toll is now running a new account called breeze. What is it and have prices gone up or down?

But we hear you saying “Didn’t you just write a blog post about this last month?’ Yes we did and we thought that would be that until maybe another price increase in six months to a year.

So we were puzzled when M6Toll sent us an email regarding the new charging system.

“You will benefit from exclusive breeze prices?” Could the cost of the Toll be going down?

No, just users without an account will be paying more! Take a look at the table and compare. The key one to check for Lichfeldians/T4 users is the two zones £7.40 line.

So for us, nothing has changed apart from a bit of fancy marketing. As we will be getting off the Toll at the bottom for Birmingham & M40/Heathrow and the top for Manchester Airport, we will be going through 2 zones and paying the £7.40 as usual.

However, if you just use the M6Toll to drive in one zone, then that will cost only £4.00 if you are registered with breeze. So Lichfield T4 to Burntwood is the maximum you can travel north for £4 and the Bassetts Pole exit is the furthest you can travel south.
